Venice Italy is known for being a dreamy, romantic destination. It’s filled with historical charm, jaw-dropping views, and just pure beauty. So when Shawna and Harry told me that they wanted to do their Wedding Portraits in Venice, I was beyond excited!! Venice had been on my bucket list for a while, and I couldn’t think of a better way to check it off of the list than by doing what I love the most: Capturing love.
THEY KNEW THEY WANTED PHOTOS THAT WOULD HELP THEM REMEMBER EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS TIME IN THEIR LIVES AND FREEZE THE MOMENT AND EMOTIONS FOREVER
We started our session with a gondola ride through the canals. From the beginning, I could see the special bond that these two had. They couldn’t take their eyes off of each other or stop holding hands. One of my favorite moments was when we went under the Rialto Bridge and Shawna and Harry shared a perfect kiss. Could this shoot possibly have been more romantic?
One of the best ways to experience Venice is to wander the streets and just see where it takes you. This is exactly what we did next and we came across some beautiful bridges overlooking the most picturesque canals in all of Venice.
We walked A LOT so at the end of the shoot, we were very tired (and sweaty), especially me. Shawna and Harry are hikers so they definitely put me to the test here haha. But hey, it was all worth it.
I couldn’t be happier with the result of this session. Aside from looking like European magazine models, the love that Shawna and Harry shared is just beautiful. I am very lucky that I was able to capture these wedding portraits in Venice for them.
