This intimate Belgium wedding is a timeless affair with a minimal classy touch – it is a masterclass in understated elegance.

Juli has been my best friend since college. She is a woman that I admire and deeply love. And as anyone you love, you always want nothing but the best for them. So when Juliana told me that she had met Peter, I couldn’t have been happier! I always knew she deserved a man who was just as amazing as she is. She found Him. Between Juliana’s kindness and Peter’s sense of humor, they are just downright wonderful to spend time with! But what is most incredible about this pair is the genuine love they have for their friends, family, and most importantly, for each other.

Where It All Began…

Juliana and Peter met in July of 2018 when they matched on Tinder. 7 months later, they went on their first date, and in Juliana’s words, “It was the best date of our lives”. They went to a trampoline park, swam in a lake, went for dinner, and ended the night in a videogame pub where they played for hours. The immediate connection they had was so real that their date started at 4 pm, and ended at 4 am… And not because they wanted it to, there was just nothing else open at that time!! Now, that’s what I call love at first sight. 

Juliana said she knew Peter was the one from that first date when at the end of the night she felt that she couldn’t be away from him ever again. Aw! And just 3 years later, Peter was down on one knee asking Juliana to be his forever at one of their favorite spots in Ghent. I am so thankful for the opportunity I had to document their wedding day, and now I can’t wait to share all the highlights with you!

The Big Day

From the time spent getting ready with her family and best friends to the moment she raced onto the dance floor to bust a move to “Calladita” from Bad Bunny, Juliana was absolutely glowing. And when she got to the ceremony in her wedding gown and her classy Colombian custom-made cape, no one could take their eyes off of her. Especially Peter. The way he looked at her and the tears coming down his cheeks made you believe in that Disney kind of happily ever after!

One of the truest joys, though, is preserving how beautifully a couple is loved by their family and closest friends on their Belgium Wedding day. Juliana’s parents still live in Colombia, but along with her brother they made the long trip to Belgium to be there for their daughter and sister on the most important day of her life … YET. Moments like these are the ones I can’t wait to photograph and never forget. 

But the uniqueness of their celebration didn’t end there! During their reception time, Peter had a surprise video for Juliana, where we could all see the highlights of their relationship. But the last slide was the one that got us all. The slide showed the beginning of their new journey, the new addition to their family: Baby Amelie. I can’t wait to meet her!!! 

Juliana and Peter told me that the thing they were most looking forward to seeing in their Belgium Wedding gallery was the emotions they had throughout the day. And I believe without a doubt we captured exactly that! And as Juliana and Peter celebrated the best day of their lives with the people they loved most, I couldn’t help but share in their joy as I clicked away with my camera!
